Sun Temple ( Surya Mandir) is situated about 39 km from Ranchi on Ranchi-Tata Road near Bundu.The graceful Sun Temple shaped in the form of huge chariot with richly decorated 18 wheels (nine on each side) and seven life like horses ready to take off. This Sun temple, one of the highlights of Ranchi is architecturally very attractive and has received the title "a poem written in stone". The Sun temple was built by Sanskriti Vihar headed by Shri Sita Ram Maroo, the Managing Director of Ranchi Express Group.
